The Marjorie Deane Financial Journalism Foundation invites applications for several full scholarships exclusively for students who have been offered places on the MA in Financial Journalism at City, University of London. Both UK/EU and overseas students are eligible to apply.

City, University of London is a public research university in London in the United Kingdom. Until 2016 it was the City University, London, or colloquially, just: CityApplicants from outside the home country will often need to meet specific English language/other language requirements in order to be able to study there.

Worth of Award

  • The foundation is also continuing its support for an endowed professorship in financial journalism. In total, it has pledged to contribute £550,000 over the next three years.
  • Scholarships are available for masters degree programme in Financial Journalism. The scholarships can cover the full cost of tuition, and discretionary living costs, dependent on need.
  • From September 2017, up to four students will be backed each year by the new Marjorie Deane Intellectual Excellence Scholarships, which will cover course fees in full.
  • Scholarship can be taken in the UK

  • The Marjorie Deane Financial Journalism Foundation will fund full scholarships exclusively for students who have been offered places on the MA Financial Journalism programme.
  • UK, EU and overseas students are all eligible to apply.
  • The selection criteria are: academic achievement and promise; relevant practical journalism experience; the potential to make a difference to the practice of financial journalism in a student’s home country.
  •  UK, EU and overseas students are all eligible to apply.
